Illman-02-653

It's a just a little less than a week until Halloween, so we're officially ushering in Spooky Season with this atmospheric #WorkerWednesday! Shot by John C. Illman on the night of August 26, 1951, this image shows Southern Pacific no. 4365 heading up passenger train no. 22 at 16th Street Station in Oakland, California. His face (assuming he has a face!?) obscured by shadow, an engineer leans out of no. 4365's cab to peer at at Illman, unintentionally creating a creepy vibe.
